Marvel Vs. DC
Counterparts
Marvel and DC have been making characters that closely resemble each other for a long time.
One of the most widely known ones is Wade Wilson/ Deadpool and Slade Wilson/ Deathstroke. Deadpool was created as a sort of rip-off of Deathstroke, everyone knows this. But since then, Deadpool has been a much more popular character than his DC counterpart.
Another pair of counterparts that is popular is that of Marvel's Hawkeye and DC's Green Arrow. Green Arrow was created 23 years before Hawkeye.
Marvel's Quicksilver and DC's The Flash are also a pair of counterparts. DC's character is again older than its Marvel counterpart, by about 24 years.
A group of characters that resemble each other in many ways, but aren't actually considered counterparts includes Thor from Marvel comics and Superman from DC comics,
As well as Marvel character Iron Man and DC character Batman.
